PREVIEW: New Participants Record in Cottbus!!

Featuring 42 participating countries, the '28th International Tournament of Masters' in Cottbus – with the status of a World Cup tournament in the Olympic year – is heading towards a new record participation in its 31-year history (to date - 38 nations).
There will be a premiere in Cottbus for the participants from Iran, Yemen and Cyprus.
Unfortunately, the organisers have to do without the cover girl Svetlana Chorkina as well as without Russia as a nation, as the Russian Championships are being staged in Moscow at the same time.
Otherwise, the metropolis of Lusatia is going to be the playing field of the world’s elite at the first weekend of March...

Great TV commitment by RBB
Both days of the finals (6/7 March) are to be covered broadly by the local broadcasting station 'Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg' (RBB), for the first time following the merger between former SFB and ORB.
This may comprise up to 85 minutes on Sunday and is to be broadcast live to a large extent.

GYMmedia as TV producer again

The technical equipment for producing the international signal will be provided by GYMmedia-TV – just like in the past two years – and will be coordinated by Eckhard Herholz, managing director of GYMmedia and longtime TV commentator of gymnastics.

Hans-Georg Dallmer

Once more, a professional sports editor, Hans-Georg Dallmer, was taken on board. The former GDR ice-skater (pairs) has experience especially in the area of technically compositional sports, such as gymnastics, RSG, ice-skating and knows the Lausitzarena already from last year.

The TV images thus produced are then distributed worldwide by the Swedish IECinsports company to more than 70 TV stations worldwide, with an enormous demand expected in the Olympic year.
