Next Sports Aerobics Championships in China!

In June 2006 the world´s aerobic elite will meet in the Popular Republic of China. In the City of Nanjin, Jiangsu Province, will be the 9th FIG Sports Aerobics World Championships. The delegation of the Chinese Federation and the FIG (include FIG-President Bruno Grandi) have officially signed an agreement in Sofia (Bulgaria) at the last World Championships.
China has an exceptional gymnastics culture and current champions in the various disciplines of this sport. Sports Aerobics is increasing its audience in the country.

Last week at the 8th World Championships in Sofia the Chinese participants showed a great performance: the chinese male sextet with high difficults won the bronze medal.

The Olympic Committee of the 2008 Olympic Games will welcome the Sports Aerobics as a demonstration for a new kind of olympic sport. The plan is to present the category 'Mixed Pairs'.
