MEN
- Canada's Kyle Shewfeldt, the winner on floor and third on vault was the most successful athlet, together with the Romanian Ioan Suciu and the Australian Philippe Rizzo: Each of them won 20 world ranking points, and Rizzo made a jump in the list from 45 to 37 place!

All together 35 male gymnasts were qualified for the finals an they came from 21 (!) different countries. The medal winners came from 10, the winners from 6 different nations.

WOMEN
Behind the sovereign leading Svetlana Khorkina came the second Russian, the double Olympic Champion Elena Zamolodchikova, but the little sensation is the third place of the 28 years old Oksana Chusovitina, an exeption among the top of world gymnastics!

Only 18 differnt female gymnasts were qualified for the finals and they came from 11 coubtries.
The medals went to 6 , nations the winners came from 4 different federations.
The topical world ranking list includes 235 gymnasts from 35 nations.
