Due to lack of synchronity the German pair of Markus Kubicka and Henrick Stehlick didn't manage to qualify for the final
With a great performance Nikolai Kazak and Dmitri Poliarush from Belarus secured themselves the World Championship title in this event, although with 14.80 they had a smaller difficulty in their routine than the Ukrainians Alexander Tshernonos and Yuri Nikitn (difficulty 15.80).
A surprising silver medal went to the young Russian pair Alexander Rusakov (leading also in the individual all-around) and Alexander Leven. They even managed to overtake their team mates Moskalenko/ Knytchev, who are the title holders in this event, already in the qualification.

.. also for Karen Cockburn/ Heather Ross-McManus the routine ended early already after the 3rd jump.
Julia Domshevska/ Olena Movchan from Ukraine had a high difficulty in their routine and managed to overtake the German pair Dogonadze/ Simon.
The decision for the gold medal was taken by the pair from Belarus: Galina Lebedewa and Tatiana Petrenia presented a high difficulty (13.1) and a faultless execution. Their jumps and landings were perfectly synchron.

(1) After the first rotation of the three women which belong to each double- minitramp women’s team the Russians had taken the lead. Nancy Rinko secured the second rank for Germany in front of the USA. On the following ranks can be found Portugal and Canada.
(2) Germany’s Christina Jannsen had slight problems during her routine in the second rotation so the USA managed to get ahead of them...
(3)... Kathrin Deuner from Germany had slight problems with the landing of her double salto piked while Shelley Klochan from the USA presented a perfect routine so the USA stayed in front of Germany. Svetlana Balandina sovereignly secured the World Championship title in this final for Russia.

(1) The third competitor of the German team Denis Luxon at first took the lead with the score of 31.90. But then Chris Mitruk from Canada managed to get ahead of him. ...Russia with one score of zero during this rotation...!
(2) A few US-fans cheerfully celebrated Martin Gromowski from the USA when he managed to stick his routine. None of the other teams managed to get ahead of the US team also in this rotation.
Canada’s Adam Menzies with quite a low jump from the apparatus but nonetheless his team narrowly stayed in front of Germany
(3) New Zealand starts the final rotation with a good jump by Justin Dougal;
- USA, Keith Douglas: great heigth in both jumps, going for a secure landing with his 2 1/2-twist;
- GER, Nico Gärtner, motivated by his good presentation in the qualification, presents a powerfull program with two very high jumps; he lands them a bit too close to the apparatus, but nonetheless sticks the landing of his jumps;
...the final competitor in this event Bryan Milonya with 2 technically perfect jumps, very high and wide: Canada becomes World Champion in the men’s double- minitramp team final in front of the USA and Germany.
