Saturday: Double Gold for Belarus in the Synchron pair finals

Today the German women’s synchron pair Anna Dogonadze and Jessica Simon, which has been newly created three months ago when Tina Ludwig retired, managed to win the bronze medal for the host nation of these Championships.
Belarus with Galina Lebedeva/ Tatiana Petrenia won the gold medal in front of Ukraine with Julia Domshevska/ Olena Movtchan. The favorites from Russia with Olympic Champion Irina Karavajeva dropped out…

In the women's final the Russian pair with Olympic Champion Karavayeva crashed after a mistake in the 4th jump of Natalia Kolesnikova...
.. also for Karen Cockburn/ Heather Ross-McManus the routine ended early already after the 3rd jump.
Julia Domshevska/ Olena Movchan from Ukraine had a high difficulty in their routine and managed to overtake the German pair Dogonadze/ Simon.
The decision for the gold medal was taken by the pair from Belarus: Galina Lebedewa and Tatiana Petrenia presented a high difficulty (13.1) and a faultless execution. Their jumps and landings were perfectly synchron.

Final: Double-Minitramp, Teams, Women:
(1) After the first rotation of the three women which belong to each double- minitramp women’s team the Russians had taken the lead. Nancy Rinko secured the second rank for Germany in front of the USA. On the following ranks can be found Portugal and Canada.
(2) Germany’s Christina Jannsen had slight problems during her routine in the second rotation so the USA managed to get ahead of them...
(3)... Kathrin Deuner from Germany had slight problems with the landing of her double salto piked while Shelley Klochan from the USA presented a perfect routine so the USA stayed in front of Germany. Svetlana Balandina sovereignly secured the World Championship title in this final for Russia.
