Monique Nuijten retired

The 19 years old Dutch gymnast Monique Nuijten, member of the European Vice Champion team in Patras 2002, declared her retirement from top sport this week.

With her 14th place in 1998's European Youth Championships of all-around competition the Dutch women's gymnastics climbed up step by step.
Nuijten said, that she have not enough motivation for a high leveled top training, after the Dutch Team is not qualified for the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 (16th place in Anaheim).
The Dutch team coach Frank Louters had not consider Nuijten for the Dutch worlds team in Anaheim at last.
