Members of the German Women's National Gymnastics Team are training at the University of Utah's Dumke Gymnastics Center through Aug. 7 in preparation for the 2003 Gymnastics World Championships in Anaheim, Calif., Aug. 16-24.
Also training with the German Team in Salt Lake is Oksana from Uzbekistan.
Chusovitina (28), who competed in the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympic Games, will be trying to qualify for her fourth Olympic Games.

Oksana Chusivitina has been living in Germany, where her 3-year-old son has been receiving treatment for acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL).

Gritt Hofmann, a sophomore on last year's squad, and former Ute All-American
Angelika Schatton (1997-2000) both competed for the German National Team at the World Championships prior to joining the Utes. Hoffmann competed at the 2001 World Championships and Schatton at the 1994 event.
