Kabaeva on her way to the top in Ljubljana

16th International Youth RG Tournament

Ljubljana – Club for rhytmic gymnastics Narodni dom Ljubljana will organize the traditional, already the 16th International Youth Tournament (MTM) in Rhytmic Gymnastics, which will take place today in the Sports Hall Krim Galjevica in Ljubljana.
The biggest name in the senior category is a multiple european and world champion Alina Kabaeva from Russia, who is making her way to the top again.

The tournament is known all over the world by the motto of the famous Slovenian actress Ivanka Mežan: “Endow, bird, my youth with wings...“ and it has established itself to become the biggest and strongest RG tournament in Slovenia, which is included in the FIG gymnastics calendar for many years now.
Gymnasts from 16 countries already confirmed their participation at this event and some of the best Slovenian gymnasts at this moment will also try to show their new routines, among them the winner of the first competition for national championships Andrea Žegarac, her teammates Tjaša Šeme and Špela Gala.
The organizing club Narodni dom is honoured that the head judge of the competition will be the president of the UEG technical comitee and a member of the FIG technical comitee, Mrs. Heide Bruneder , who was also the chief of this tournament many times in the past.
