Wien (22.-23. 03.) – Bulgarian Yana Ferdinandova in the senior category and Austrian junior group were the winners of the 10th Corvinus Cup in Wiener Neustadt, where alltogether 85 gymnasts from 10 countries competed. Slovenian senior Andrea Žegarac was the leader after the first two apparatuses, but made many mistakes in ball and finished third behind the Bulgarians Yana Ferdinandova and Jordanka Andonova. At the places from Nr. 4 to Nr. 7 placed all the young gymnasts (born in 1988) Petra Daroczi (HUN), Judy Berecz (CAN), Cecilia Suworowa (GER) and Špela Gala (SLO).
The best junior group was the Austrian in front of Hungary and the Czech Republic. There was no doubt about the winners in the younger categories; the best among scholars was Karolina Raskina and among children Alicia Bilali, both gymnasts from the German Olympic centre in Schmiden.
It was very nice to see ex-Hungarian RG Star Andrea Szalay as a judge, among other success she also competed in Atlanta Olympic Games 1996.
