The Commission made up of three Members of the FIG Executive Committee took the decision not to inflict any additional sanctions on the Russian gymnast Irina Tchachina, tested positive for furosémide at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Madrid in October 2001.
Two months prior to the worlds, the gymnast tested positive at the Goodwill Games for the same product. In Madrid, the results of the first control were unknown.
The Commission, stating that it is a consequence of the first case, will not inflict any additional sanction on the gymnast.
