FINAL FLOOR
The men kicked off the first finals’ day in Cottbus on floor with gymnasts from 8 different countries – Italy, Brazil, Ukraine, Romaina, Greece, Luxemburg, Germany and France. It is obvious that the variety of countries which manage to bring gymnasts to the top level gets bigger and bigger.
Pozzo: --- routine with a well-executed full-in at the beginning, in the middle a combination of 1 1/2 twist bwd. - layout fwd. 1/1 turn - layout fwd. 1 1/2 turn, he also showed Thomas- circles with Gogoladze.
Rosa: --- two combined series one of them 2 1/2 twist bwd. and somersault fwd. with 1/2 turn, the other one 1 1/2 twists bwd. - layout fwd. 1/1 turn, piked arabian and in the end a full-in to a stuck landing.
Kuvakin: --- started with the difficult 2 1/2 twists bwd. followed by layout fwd. with 2/1 turns, Russian wendeswing 1080 degrees, in the end triple twist and a stuck landing - he took the lead!
Selariu: --- he started with a double-double bwd. and ended his routine with a full-in, both jumps with slight corrections on the landing, 2 1/2 twists bwd. layout fwd., followed by 1 1/2 twists bwd. - somersault fwd. 1/1 turn and 1 1/2 somersault to roll fwd.. However, his whole routine included a few small insecurities.
Kosmidis: --- two combined series, one of them with 1 1/2 twists bwd. - layout fwd. 1/1 and layout fwd. 1 1/2 twists, the second one with 2 1/2 twists bwd. followed by somersault fwd. 1/2 turn, in the end a full-in. Also he with slight insecurities on the landings.
Palgen: --- he started with a piked double arabian and ended his routine with a tucked double arabian, in the middle he presented standard acrobatic elements and also he had a few problems to stick his landings.
Fahrig: --- started his routine with a very high piked double arabian and presented overall a very high difficulty, including Thomas- circles followed by a tucked double arabian, unfortunately with an insecure landing, in the end he showed 2 1/2 twists.
da Silva: -- one of the most difficult routines of this final but unfortunately with a fall on his triple twist in the end - through this he lost all chances on a leading position...
