Romania s big-income earners

165,000 EUR for Ponor

At the end of last week Romania's prime minister Adrian Nastase handed over the price money to the highly successful gymnasts of his country in Bucharest.
The big-income earner was the most successful gymnast Catalina Ponor with her 3 gold medals - team, beam, floor. Monica Rosu became Olympic Champion on vault, Daniela Sofronie won silver on floor and Alexandra Eremia bronze on beam.

In the men's field Marian Dragulescu won silver on floor and bronze on vault and Marius Urzica silver on pommel horse...
Also the coaches received the same price money which was offered from the Romanian governemnt as follows:
For each gold medal c. 55,000 EUR, for silver c. 44,000 EUR and for bronze c. 33,000 EUR.
