The first international opening ceremony of the Austrian Team Country championship offered high quality gymnastics just a month before the European Championship in Birmingham:
Hungarys European Championship-squad pushed itself - at the premiere of the"I. AUSTRIAN TEAM OPEN" in Vienna-Brigittenau - with 150.650 ahead of Austria/Vorarlberg (146.800) and Austria/Tirol (143.950) – who therewith won Gold and Silver at the national team country championship which took place at the same time.
Like Austria also Hungary and Israel tested their European Championship squads, and Canada came along as an overseas guest.
The „1st Austrian Team Open Artistic Gymnastics“ will end tomorrow on Sunday (28.3.) with the men applicant:
So Austrias country wide teams will meet Hungary, Slowakia and Slowenia.

Vorarlberg is for the fourth time in a row Austrian Team Countrywide Winner.
Vorarlbergs trainer Christine Frauenknecht was happy for her gymnasts Elisa Hämmerle, Barbara Gasser, Katharina Fa, Olivia Jochum and Elena Metzler „especially“ about this fourth title in a row, „which we did not expect, but thanks to our stable achievements we earned it“.
Tirols gymnasts have to be content as a team with the vice title for the fourth time in a row, after winning all five single-countrywide titles a few months ago.
Singles-all around champion Hanna Grosch: „The result is clear and is ok. Unfortunately we did not have an optimal preparation, also in the competition there were too many mistakesr“.
The Bronze medal of the countrywide championship was secured by Upper Austria with the more stable achievement than Vienna (international rank 7 and 8).
Tirols trainer Petr Koudela: „Only two months after her knee operation I was very positively surprised today by Jasmin Mader who was 5th in the singles rankings.

Behind the allaround winner Roni Rabinowitz from Israel
from the hosts perspective, the only 14 year old strong>Elisa Hämmerle was especially outstanding with 2nd place of the international singles rankings. The gymnast from Lustenau is the„outstanding hope for the future", said state supervisor Katharina Wieser, who summed up satisfied , „that our best state selected gymnasts have done better than the teams from Israel and Canada“ (positions 4 and 5).
