At a competition in Prague at the beginning of November the Czech National Champion and Olympic participant from 2000 Jana Komrskova injured her foot and had to undergo surgery in hospital.

A German squad - gymnasts from the club TV Hoffnungsthal - was the winner of the traditional 'Leverkusen Cup 2003' for women artistic gymnastics teams. On second place came the team TV Victory Alkmaar from the Netherlands and on third ranked 'TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf (GER).
