If Canadian organizers get the green light from the international gymnastics federation (FIG), one of the world’s major sports events will be coming to Montreal in 2017. From October 26 - 30, the International Gymnastics Federation (F.I.G.) chaired by President Prof. Bruno Grandi (ITA) will organise in the Uzbek capital Tashkent meetings of its President’s Board and Executive Committee as well as the General Assembly. This 80th Congress, two years before the next elections to be held in 2016, will shed a first light on the current changes within the governing body of world’s gymnastics.

Between geysers and lava fields, the 10th European Championships TeamGym 2014 are currently underway in the Laugardalshöll Sports Arena of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. In a modern sport complex, the junior gymnasts have taken possession of the venue to train at the three apparatus for this discipline in the training hall adjacent to the competition hall. The qualifications started at Wednesday afternoon after the opening ceremony, during that time, the seniors will train before their qualifications on Thursday.

For the 39th time the German  Turn-Club 72 Leverkusen invited to the traditional "International Leverkusen-Cup", in the Smidt ARENA. Seven teams from five nations performed superbly in front of 1,000 spectators. With a peak power an elected Team Germany I won with the three gymnasts Nadia Schulze (reigning German Junior Champion in 2013 at the beam, vault, bars), Michelle Timm and Amélie Foellinger with 103.40 points at this year's international traditional tournament "Leverkusen-Cup" and secured thus the coveted golden trophy.
