The first winner of the new year is Nastia Liukin from the World Gymnastics Academy, who won the senior all-around title at the 2005 WOGA Classic, held Saturday evening in Allen, Texas.
Liukin, the two-time junior national champion, also won the junior title of this event the last two years. International Gymnast reports, that Liukin, who is coached by her father, 1988 Olympic gold medalist Valery Liukin, has been invited to the American Cup in March....

During the ordinary General Assembly of the Italian Gymnastics Federation (FGI) which was held on December 19 and 20 in Rome, Riccardo Agabio was brilliantly re-elected to the Presidency for a new legislative period which will lead to the Olympic Games of Beijing in 2008.
Riccardo Agabio has been president of the Italian Federation for fours years already.
FIG World Cup To Be Hosted At Nassau Coliseum Feb. 25-26
