Germany's gymnast of the year 2019, Andreas TOBA (29) from the TK Hanover, suffered a tear in the right ankle joint syndrome band at the first training camp of the gymnastics team Germany after the corona break in the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center Kienbaum, near Berlin.
The five-time German champion will likely have to take a three-month break. It is not yet clear whether the currently best German all-rounder can take part in the European gymnastics championships...
* f i g---: The Danish Gymnastics Federation has informed the FIG of its withdrawal from hosting the 50th World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, due to be held in Copenhagen in October 2021. The FIG Executive Committee (EC) has taken note of this decision and has expressed its regret and disappointment. The EC will shortly consider all consequences resulting from this situation, including the launch of a new bidding procedure for this event.
