Team USA elects Vidmar and Retton to board of directors

USA gymnastics --: 1984 Olympic gold medalist Peter Vidmar was elected chairman of the USA Gymnastics board of directors Monday, and will be joined in the group by 1984 all-around champion Mary Lou Retton.
Vidmar and Retton, elected to one of four public sector positions on the board, each will serve four-year terms.

Last honours for Pierre Chabloz, Honorary President of the UEG

On Monday, December 8th, 2008, a large crowd came to La Tour-de-Peilz (SUI) to honour Pierre Chabloz - founder of the European Gymnastics Union and Honorary Member of the FIG - a last time.
They came from Switzerland and many different European countries. Chabloz passed away last week after an on-going illness.

Exciting competition at the 14th World Cup Final!

Nearly all qualifiers for the 14th Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Final from 13th to 14th dezember in Madrid (ESP) have been identified. A few names remain unknown on the women’s start list, however, but confirmation is expected over the next few days.
