Jordan Jovtchev, one of Bulgaria's most successful male gymnasts in history, has officially been elected the head of the Bulgarian Sports Gymnastics Federation, Dnevnik daily reported on December 19.
The four-time world champion and silver Olympic medallist from Athens will take over from Nikola Prodanov. Yovchev has been voted unanimously by the participants in the federation's congress.

As the basis for invitations to the World Cup Final on 13-14 December in Madrid, the international gymnastics federation, the F.I.G., published its world cup individual apparatus rankings at the end of November following the last World Cup of the series.
