On the first day of the podium training of the women, the German hostesses were able to test the apparatus early on, in Group 3, along with the Ukraine and two mixed teams.
The Chinese team was allotted an even more awkward slot in Group 1 (10 am), with the Italian team following just after in Group 2 (11.45 am).
Rumania on the other hand is ending the first day of training in Group 4 at about 6...

The Russian Gymnastics Federation named its team for the upcoming EnBW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2007, which will be held September 1 - 9 in Stuttgart , Germany.

Police harassment of Korea's gymnasts
The South Korean national World Championships team, which had travelled to Switzerland for the triple meet of Switzerland, Korea and Puerto Rico was arrested by an overzealous policeman. The arrest came about after a woman in Bad Ragaz notified police that her purse had been stolen by a 'man of Asian appearance'. The policeman quickly arrested the first Asian to cross his way ... and continued to arrest all the other members of the Korean...

The 40th EnBW Gymnastics World Championships 2007 of the men and the
29th Women's World Champinships from September 1st to 9th in Stuttgart's Hanns Martin-Schleyer Halle are also the only opportunity to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

A heated contest for the coveted twelve qualifying places for national teams is to be expected. For instance a German women's team last participated in the Barcelona Olympics, 15 years ago...
