The City of Liverpool “A” team (Beth Tweddle, Carol Galashan, Melanie Roberts, Kim Lyon, Aisling Williams and Hannah Clowes coached by Sarah Attwell and Claire Duffy), won the British Team title for the third consecutive time at the Championships in Guildford on 3/4th April (137.650 points), ahead of South Durham (132.175) who celebrated their first Team Silver medal, and the last years runners-up from Heathrow “A” team in third (130.950)....

With a score of 56,700 Benoit Caranobe won the all-around title of the French Championships last weekend in Le Mans. He was the most successful athlet winning the gold medals also on floor, vault and high bar.

The Brazilian Diego HYPOLITO was the only one double winner (floor, vault), but Yernar Yerimbetov from Kazakhstan was the most successful athlet, winning 3 silver medals...

Legendary gymnast Nadia Comaneci has been awarded the Olympic Order by the IOC President, Jacques Rogge, during an official ceremony in Bucharest (Romania).
IOC President Rogge was in the Romanian Capital for the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Romanian Olympic Committee, whose President is Ion Tiriac.
Furthermore, President Rogge has been bestowed with the title of Commander of the National Order of Merit of Romania....
