37th International DTB-Cup 2022

After a two-year Corona break, the 37th DTB Cup 2022 took place in Stuttgart / Germany.
Outside of the World Cup series in this year, it was a multi-gym event: It consisted of Team Challenges for men and women and for the first time also for juniors.

FIG Response to Russian Military Invasion of Ukraine

Hungary's Olympic champion Szilveszter Csollany succumbed to coronavirus

At the age of only 51, Hungary's Olympic gymnastics champion on the still rings of Sydney 2000, Szilveszter CCOLLÀNY, died today in Budapest from a COVID19 infection. He was diagnosed with the disease in early December 2021. After treatment in the hospital, he was initially treated further in his apartment in Sopron, but then had to be inpatient and intensively cared for and ventilated again.

Aljaz Pegan elected as President of FIG Athlete*s Commission

Slovenia’s Aljaz PEGAN (47) has been elected as President of the FIG Athletes’ Commission.
The 1994 and 2004 European and 2005 World champion on the high bar will defend the athletes’ voices at the top level of Gymnastics governance until the end of 2025.
