5th Elite GYM Massilia 2014

November 15 / 16 took place the 5th "Elite GYM MASSILIA 2014, a traditional artistic gymnastics event un the South of France.
Best team of the Master competition in the Sports hall of Marseille was the Italian Team with 162,667 points, beating the Russian Equipe with 161,900 points. On third place came the Belgium team scoring 160,867 points, followed by France, Canada and Germany.

37th Memorial Joaquin BLUME 2014

World Parallel Bars champion Oleg Verniaiev (UKR) and Spanish star Roxana Popa (ESP) were the big winners at the Joaquin Blume Memorial, held this past weekend in Barcelona (ESP).  Popa, the current Spanish national champion, captured second first major international All-around title at Blume, hitting the top scores of the meet on Vault (14.800), Uneven Bars (14.900) and Floor Exercise (14.400) to post 57.100 in the All-around. Gymnastics Canada and Montreal bidding for 2017 Artistic Gymnastics Worlds

If Canadian organizers get the green light from the international gymnastics federation (FIG), one of the world’s major sports events will be coming to Montreal in 2017.
