Olympic Champion Masao Takemoto died February 2

Masao Takemoto, a gold medallist in Japan's men's team gymnastics title at the 1960 Rome Olympics, died of bile duct cancer at the age of 87 Friday, February 2 his family said Monday.
Takemoto competed in three consecutive Olympics from the 1952 Helsinki Games and helped capture a gold medal in the men's team competition in Rome in 1960 and  at the age of 41 he placed fifth (tie) all-around, second on high bar, there.

Rush of entries for the Tournament of Masters!

200 gymnasts from 43 countries...!
The "Tournament of Masters" (March 23rd - 25th 2007) in Cottbus has been very popular among gymnasts for the last 30 years. This year, however, the rush of entries for the World Cup tournament in Cottbus is bigger than ever before:
Although the registration period has only just begun, the German Gymnastics Federation has already received registrations from almost 200 gymnasts from 43 countries for the competition in Cottbus!

EU kicks off European Year of Equal Opportunity in Berlin

Ronny Ziesmer - an European Campaign Ambassador

As part of the opening conference of the "European Year of Equal Opportunity" at the Berlin Congress Center (bcc) on Alexanderplatz
