The 13 gymnastics selected to represent Team GREAT BRITAIN at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (BRA) have been officially announced:
* The men’s artistic gymnastics team will be Louis Smith, Max Whitlock, Nile Wilson, Brinn Bevan and Kristian Thomas.
* The women’s artistic gymnastics team will be Becky Downie, Ellie Downie, Claudia Fragapane, Ruby Harrold and Amy Tinkler.
* The British trampoline gymnasts will be Kat Driscoll, Bryony Page and Nathan Bailey.

After she made history on June 26 with her fourth consecutive national title, Simone BILES,  the three-time world all-around champion (2013–15), leads after Day 1 of the 2016 US Women's Olympic Trials with the score of 61,850 (!!), followed by Laura Hernandez (60,850) and Alexandra Raisman (59,950) ...
Biles, Hernandez and Raisman appear to be in solid position while Gabby Douglas (7th: 58,550) is still searching for the form that helped her win an eye-opening silver...

The Netherlands Gymnastics qualified both men's and women's teams to this summer's Olympic Games, the first for the Dutch women since 1976 and for the men since 1928.
The Dutch women's team consists of Céline van Gerner, Vera van Pol, Eythora Thorsdottir, and twins Lieke Wevers and Sanne Wevers.
Van Gerner competed as an individual at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. So Sanne Wevers  will lead strong Dutch squads for the upcoming Olympic Games, the Royal Dutch...

Exclusively at athletes from the host nation Turkey (7 successes) and at Columbia (2x) and at the world oldest top gymnast Oksana CHUSOVITINA (vault: 15,325) from Uzbekistan (1x) were the victories at first conducted FIG Challenge Cup in Turkish Mersin.

Three-time World all-around champion Simone BILES of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, became the first woman since 1974 to win four consecutive senior women’s all-around titles at the 2016 P&G Gymnastics Championships at the Saint Louis (Mo.) University’s Chaifetz Arena.
