Last week Great Britain’s Louis SMITH joined some other stars of the GBR sporting world to promote BMW as the official automotive partner of the London 2012 Games. The initiative is designed to support the Team GB Olympic and Paralympic athletes as they prepare for the Games.
Initially 12 athletes have been chosen to join the BMW London 2012 Performance Team but the number will rise to 25 over the next few months.

The "Dutch Royal Gymnastics Union" (KNGU) has decided to give gymnast the former World Champion on still rings, Yuri van Gelder, another chance to return to top-level gymnastics. The decision is the result of negotiations between Yuri van Gelder and KNGU representatives. The negotiations were held after mediation by sports umbrella organisation NOC*NSF.
