6th World Cup of the Olympic Season: Chineses are winning everywhere...

At the traditional  33 anniversary of the "Memorial Joaquim Blume 2008" in Vilanova ila Geltrù , Spain the Chinese gymnasts won four of the six men's finals:
ZHENG, Hongtao dominated on pommel horse in front of  the European Champion Berki (HUN), YAN, Mingyong on rings, followed by Plushkin (RUS), FENG, Zhe on parallel bars beat Piasecki (SVK); European champion Petkovsek came on fifth place, only) and GUO, Weiyang won against the European high bar specialists Pegan (SLO)...

World Cup 2008 World Stars in Russia

At the Thursday's qualification rounds of the "2008 World Stars" competition (- world cup no. 5 of the Olympic season) the Swiss athletes are happy about five final places...
So Patrick DOMINGUEZ startedat the Friday's floor and vault finals in the sport complex "Olympisky" of the Russian metrople...

David SENDER won the USA National All-around Title

David SENDER of Arlington Heights, Ill., won the men’s all-around title at the 2008 Visa Championships at Reliant Park in Houston.
Sender, who also took top honors in the vault, is one of 14 men who will advance to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics, June 19-22, in Philadelphia.

The 10 men who qualified for the senior men’s national team based on the points system and will advance to the U.S. Olympic Team...

Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Event in Tianjin

One week after the 2008 Nationals of the Olympic host China, the Chinese Gymnastics Federation welcomed a part of the wolrldS elite at the fourth F.I.G. World Cup Event of the 2008 Olympic season:
Not unexpectedly  the Chinese hosts won eight of 10 possible titles at Thursday, May 15 !
