.... In addition to many Olympic Games fans from the USA, many British people have also travelled to Beijing, especially for the completely sold-out gymnastics events. The symbols of the Beijing Olympic Games are popular motifs for photos. After all, after a gap of 64 years London will be hosting the next Olympic Summer Games in 2012.

Drugs in GymnasticsSteadfast and diplomatic is the reaction of the FIG

* FIG Office: --- The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced on July 30 th, 2008 that the gymnast Tim McNeill (artistic gymnastics) was tested positive for triamcinolone acetonide (glucocorticostreroïd) on May 24th, 2008. He accepted a public warning for this first offence.
The doping offence involved the use of a prescribed anti-inflammatory medication under the care of a physician.

USA gymnast tests positive, THE FIG WILL NOT APPEAL

 Lausanne (SUI) FIG Office: --- The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced on July 3, 2008 that gymnast Morgan Hamm (artistic), tested positive for triamcinolone acetonide (glucocorticostreroïd) on May 24, 2008, accepted a public warning for this first offence.

Belarus extented contract with shoe label I W A

The Byelorussian Gymnastics Federation and the German company "IWA Gymnastics" - worldwide wellknown producer of gymnastics shoes - extended their outfitter contract for the next Olympic period until London 2012.
Today Mr. Andrei FEDOROV from the Belarus and the IWA Managing director, Mr. Dieter WAHL signed the contracts in Crailshaim, Germany.

So the gym shoe label "IWA" will stay in this very successfully partnership from 2000 on, also for the next four years...

Farewell Ceremony for the DTB Women s Gymnastics Team

The German Women's Gymnastics Team for the Olympic Games, who are leaving on Friday 25 July 2008 in order to acclimatise at a training camp in Kamo-City (Japan), have now completed their "direct preparation" for competition in the Olympics at the German National Training Centre at Bergisch Gladbach.
