At the 75th General Assembly (Congress) of FIG in Antalya, the Italian Bruno Grandi has been confirmed in office as President from 86 of the 96 nations.
In the first ballot, both the French Dr. Michel Leglise as well as the Japanese Koji Takizawa were elected as Vice-Presidents by the delegate; in the second ballot the Canadian Slava Corn was also elected.

The Britisch Gymnastics Association (BAGA) pronounced, that one of the best British gymnasts ever, Kanukai Jackson, the 2002 Commonwealth Games All-around Champion, 2002 European Bronze medallist on Vault, and 2000 and 2002 British All-around Champion, has decided to retire from competition.
He is already in Montreal, starting his new career as a member of the cast of the renowned Canadian “Cirque du Soleil”.

The fig pronounced, that the Court of Arbitration for Sport has rejected the appeal submitted by the Korean Gymnast Yang Tae Young, against the judges’ decision after the Men’s Olympic All Around competition in Athens.

Germany's oldest international event
The traditional 'LEVERKUSEN CUP' for women's artistic gymnastics celebrates it's 29th anniversary this year.
On Saturday, October, the 30th the chief-organizer Dieter Schulz and his well-tried team will welcome guests from 10 nations in the venue 'Wilhelm-Dopatka-Halle' in Leverkusen.
