The number 9 of the 2004 US all-around championships, David Durante was the winner of the 2005 USA national start event of artistic gymnastics, the WINTER CUP, held in Las Vegas last weekend.

Gymnastics head coach Octavian Belu resigned Monday amid criticism of his training methods and a lawsuit by a former gymnast after leading Romanian women to more than 250 medals in major championships.

On Monday, January the 31st, the former member of GDR national teamsBirgit RADOCHLA (married -Michailoff) celebrated her 60th birthday in the German capital Berlin.
