The first finals’ day in Cottbus is over and the audience got to see high-quality performances. The victory on floor went to Switzerland with Patrick Dominguez. On pommel horse Marius Urzica presented another great performance in his career which clearly secured him the victory. The first place on high-bar went to Isao Yoneda (JPN), a slight mistake cost Fabian Hambüchen (GER) all chances on the victory.

Quite a few of the World's best gymnasts met in Cottbus for the 29th Tournament of Masters. Today took place the qualification rounds The audience got to see another success of Oksana Chussovitina in her long career, she won the qualification on vault today. Russia's Anna Pavlova presented herself well but not perfectly today. She will new chances in the finales on vault,beam and floor.

The Cuban Gymnast Abel DRIGG plans to present a sensation on vault - handspring - double layout fw.! He already mamaged to present it with a stuck landing during the training in Cottbus and now plans to show it also in today's world cup qualification...

The Canadian Olympic champion on floor, Kylie Shewfelt is training at the University of Calgary with a new coach, Tony Smith.
Kelly Manjak, his former long time coach at the Altadore Gym Club for 16 years, has moved to Ontario. The 2005 world championships and 2006 Commonwealth Games will be the next major events on Shewfelt's agenda. Both will take place in Melbourne, Australia.

About 13 years after the opening of a new hall in the sport centre Schauenburg in Liestal, where led by trainer Dieter Hofmann a new successful generation of Swiss male gymnasts was established, the new 'Sports and Health Centre Rosen' will be officially opened this weekend.

The new training hall, a former horse riding arena transformed into a hall with top equipment supplied by the Dutch company Janssen-Fritsen, complies with the standards for top-class gymnastics.....
