Grant Golding leads Canadian s Commenwealth Team

The XVIII. Commenwealth Games 2006' will held from March 15 - 26 in Mebourne, Australia. The gymnastics competitons will take place at the Rod Laver Arena, the venue of the last artistic worlds last year.
The Canadian Men’s Artistic Team, which took home silver in the team event in Manchester, will aim to better its efforts in Melbourne and knock off the strong British team and all other challengers to claim prime position on the medal podium....

All-around World Champion Hiroyuki TOMITA comes to Cottbus...

The Japanese Gymnastics Federation send away its top star, the current all-around world champion Hiroyuki Tomita to the world Cup event in Cottbus at March 24 - 26. Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs wins Canadian gymnastics trials

Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs of Toronto won the Canadian Commonwealth Games trials in artistic gymnastics, becoming one of five athletes to clinch a spot for the March 15-25 event in Melbourne, Australia.

Hopfner-Hibbs placed first in the trials rankings with 71.050 points. Alyssa Brown of Mississauga, Ont., was second at 68.700 while Gael Mackie of Coquitlam, B.C., was third, Brittney Habbib of Oshawa, Ont., fourth and Jenna Kerbis of the Brandon, Man., fifth.

David Durante defends US Wintercup Title

us-gymnastics: -- David Durante of Garwood, N.J., won his second straight 'Winter Cup Challenge all-around title, edging out Jonathan Horton of Houston by just two-tenths of a point.
