Oksana Chusovitina (UZB) once again in her long career reached the 1st place on vault. On uneven bars China’s Li Ya clearly dominated the field with her spectacular routine.

Commonwealth Games: Host Australia most successfull

Aussie's Balance: 6-6-6 ...Gold, Silver, Bronze...!
 Australian Joshua Jefferis has won gold for Australia in the Men’s All-Around Artistic Gymnastics final at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne with an overall score of 89.45. Canadian Nathan Gafuik won the silver and Australian Philippe Rizzo secured the bronze. Rizzo and Jefferis are both members of the Men’s Team that won silver behind Canada on the first day of the competition.

Strong Rumanian Men and Chinese Women in Lyon!

Commonwealth Gold for Australian Women s Team

Strong performances on the beam and the vault helped the Australian gymnasts secure the Women's Team gold medal ahead of England and Canada.
The Australians scored 172.600 points to win by 8.250 points from England, which was without its injured captain, Beth Tweddle.

IAAF-General Secretary and first chief editor of WORLD GYMNASTICS Istvan GYULAI passed away...

The IAAF regrets to announce that Istvan Gyulai(HUN), who has been General Secretary since 1991, passed away in the early hours of March 12.
“It is with deep regret that I have to announce the death of a friend and valued colleague,” IAAF President Lamine Diack said.
Gyulai was also one of the founder of the AIPS Gymnastics Commission and the first chief editor of F.I.G. Magazin 'WORLD GYMNASTICS', and a long time TV commentator of Hungarian television....
