Surprisingly clearly victory of Spanish women about Romanians

With big enthusiasm the more than 2,000 visitors and fans celebrated in the western spanish town Caceres the winning women's national team about the big gymnastics nation Rumania:
With a difference of more than 6 points (232.245 : 225,900) the Spanish gymnasts beat the Romanian squad.
On top of the all-around ranks also the Spaniards Laura CAMPOS (59,290), followed by Thais ESCOLAR (58.200).
Best of Roumanians was Aluissa LACUSTEANU (57,850) on third....

Friendly Meet Great Britain vs. Romania

GREAT BRITAIN vs. ROMANIA
Three times Olympic, seven times World and four times European Team Champions, Romania, won the friendly Women’s Gymnastics International in Newcastle versus Great Britain both in the Team (231.80 : 223.45) and the Individual All-around events.

Best in all-around competition were Steliana NISTOR (59,450) from team Romania, followed by her teammates Sandra IZBASA (58.750) and the Romanian junior Aluissa LACUSTEANU.

Italy s women and Russia s Men won Friendly Meets

Italy's Vanessa Ferrari was the only one femal gymnast presenting a top leval at the friendly meet versus Russia last weekend in Trieste. Russia came with a young team, but also Anna Pavlova didn'd present a high level...

So Italian host won this competiition 231.300 : 222.900 and Ferrari was the absulutely best in all-around (61.050), with a difference of 4.25 points to the best Russian gymnast.

National Championships of Vietnam

HA NOI — Hanoian gymnasts grabbed four gold medals to become victors at the National Games Gymnastics and Sports Aerobic Championships.

Ha Noi topped the medal tally with six gold, six silver and six bronze medals, beating HCM City who came in second with four gold, one silver and five bronze medals.

HAMBUECHEN and BUI won the first German Trials

On Saturday, August 19 the European high bar champion 2005, Fabian HAMBUECHEN (Wetzlar) won the all-around competition of the first German trials in preparation of the upcoming world championships with a score of 90.700, followed by the 19-years old Philipp BOY (88.650; Cottbus) and Christian BERCZES (86,350; Halle).

On women's side Kim BUI from Tuebingen won the all-around with a score of 55.350 in front of Jenny BRUNNER (52.200; Chemnitz) and Heike GUNNE (52,050; Niedergirmes).
