In the Olympic city of 1992, Barcelona (Spain) took place the 38 anniversary of the BLUME MEMORIAL, remembering the Spanish gymnastics legend and four-times European champion of the Fifties Joaquim Blume.
The Belgian Nina DERWAEL won the women's all-around with a score of 56,150, followed by Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos (FRA; 54,400) and Seda Tutkhalian (54,250/RUS).

Morinari Watanabe from Japan is the New FIG-President

The 57 years old currently Secretary of the Japanese Gymnastics Asscciation, Morinari WATANABE, is the new and 9th President of the International Gymnastics Federation (F.I.G.), elected at the F.I.G. congress in Tokyo. He will take up this position 2017, January 1 and is the successor of the long-term president Bruno GRANDI (82) after 20 years presidency. Maribor - the Slovenian city of the legendary Olympian and numerous artistic gymnastics Olympic and world champion Leon STUKELJ (1898 - 1999) - will host the 11th European TEAMGYM Championships from 12 to 15 October 2016. A total of ten Challenge Cup the F.I.G. has set in the Olympic year 2016 into the World Cup calendar!
