Rhythmic Gymnastics

European Champion Alina Kabaeva (RUS) won the all around competition and three of four finals of Alfred Vogel Grand Prix tournament in Deventer (NED). 2nd place got Anna Bessonova (UKR), she won also the final with ribbon. 3rd became Zarina Gizikova (RUS).
Alltogether 28 individual gymnasts and 16 groups took part in this 6th grand prix tournament of 2003 series.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Russia's Irina Tchachina was the most successful gymnast at the rhythmic gymnastics competition of the XXII UNIVERSIADE in Daegu, Republic of Korea.
Tchashtchina won the all-around in front of Anna Bessonova from the Ukraine and her Russian teammate Zarina Gizhikova.

The Russian group were also the very best in all categories, in front of Peoples Republic of Korea, Japan and host Korea.

So the RG club G.R.S. Differdange from Luxembourgh needs a professional coach and the dragon from Belgium made an interesting offer as well as the Cirque du Soleil from Canada. Even the Gymnatics Federation from Luxembourgh found a new national coach this year.

In Sofia (BUL) a Grand Prix tournament for groups only take place this weekend.
The group of Bulgaria won the all around before Belarus, 3rd place got the Chinese group.
Except the groups from Russia, Greece and Ukraine all the favorites for the World Championships in September take part in this tournament. Altogether 11 teams take part.
