Baku Hosts European Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics

The capital of Azerbaijan, Baku will host the 23rd European Championship of Rhythmic Gymnastics next year.
Shahin Kazimzade, press secretary of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation informed, that the news was announced during the contract conclusion between Azerbaijan Federation and the Union of European Gymnastics (UEG) this week.
In Baku were held the World Championships 2005, already.

Malaysian gymnasts head to AON Cup in Mie

JAPAN will be the last international stop for some rhythmic gymnastics elie athketes before the Asian Games on Dec 1-15. So the Aeon Cup 2006 in Mie, Japan, on Saturday will be the final tune-up also for Malaysian gymnastics trio Chrystal Lim, Foong Seow Ting and Jaime Lee before they head for Doha on Dec 8. Vera Sessina - total triumph at BERLIN MASTERS

On Sunday European Champion Vera Sessina (RUS) realiezed the total triumph of the this years Grand Prix Final, "BERLIN MASTERS", which was held to the 6th time in the German capital:
After winning the Saturday's all-around Grand Prix qualification (67,757) in the Max Schmeling Halle ahead of Olga Kapranova (RUS/66,224) and Inna Zhukova (BLR/65,640), she was also the best gymnast at the Sunday's GRAND PRIX FINALS and about 2.800 visitors celebreted her four victories with all apparatuses.

24th CHACOTT Championships 2006

Japanese Junior Championships2006
Last weekend in Tokyo, Japan took place the 2006 CHACOTT Championships,identically with the Japanese National Juniors Championships of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
At the 24th anniversary top two gymnasts contend for the first place it was really exciting decision.
Gold medal went to the very talented gymnast Kotono Tanaka (Matsuyaga RG).

Berlin Masters 2006: All-around Decision

Tonight European Champion Vera Sessina (RUS/67,757) won the all around competition (qualification) of the Grand Prix Final 2006 in the Max Schmelin Halle ahead of Olga Kapranova (RUS/66,224) and Inna Zhukova (BLR/65,640). 22 gymnasts participated at the 6th Berlin Masters in front of 1.400 spectators and a cheerful audience.
Olympic Champion Russia won the group all around competition with 32,150 points over Belarus 31,225 and Azerbajan 27,700.
