After the very successful 1st Golden Age GYM Festival 2005" under the sovereignty of the UEG this year will follow the International Gymnastics Festival 50+" (IGF 50+) under the responsibility of the well-tried Spanish organizers of the BLUME Festival Gran Canaria. It's high time for interested cubs and groups worldwide to contact the organizing committee for booking their special gym journey, like ebvery year.
Specially the Spanish hosts will welcome new groups and guests from all over the world....

" .... '50+' Gymnastics FESTIVAL 2006
The Golden Age Gym Festival, planned by the UEG to be held in 2006 after the very successful first edition in November 2005, will be postponed by the UEG due to organisational reasons. The UEG Executive Committee decides in principle to organize the Golden Age Gym Festival from now on on a regular basis, every two years.
So the Spanish organizers of the wellknown BLUME Gran Canaria Festival" will organize this...

In the days of May, Las Palmas (ESP) will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Las Palmas Sport Centre, a project brought to fruition through the imagination and pugnacity of its founder, Jesus Telo Nunez.
In 1956, Nunez opened the largest national training centre on the island, opening its doors to some thirty young gymnasts. All kinds of activities were practised from gymnastics to judo.

The Executiv Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation F.I.G. decided on it's meeting in Kuala Lumpur (MAL), that the 14th World Gymnaestrada 2001 will take place in Switzerland, City of Lausanne.
The Olympic Capital obtained 24 votes, Amsterdam (NED) 5 and Brussels (BEL) 3.
So it will be the third time that the traditional European gymnastics nation Switzerland will be the host for this event after 1969 (Basel) and 1982 (Zurich)....
