The former Brazilian top artistic gymnast, two-times Olympian (2004, 2008) and world cup winner Lais SOUZA, who was due to compete in the freestyle skiing competition at the Sochi Olympics is fighting now for her life after hitting a tree during a recreational skiing session in Utah. British gymnast Cameron MacKenzie has chosen to represent South Africa in a bid to qualify for Rio 2016. The 20-year-old was born in the Eastern Cape province, but his family moved to England when he was nine. He had trained with Olympic silver medallist Louis Smith at Huntingdon Gym, but believes returning home will improve his Olympic prospects.
