Anna Pavlova, the Junior European champion from Patras 2002, edged the reigning world and European champion Svetlana Khorkina and wins the Russian Cup all-around title in Moscow.
but Svetlana Khorkina got three Golden medals at the apparatus finals of the Russian champonships. Yevgeni Podgorni was the winner of the all-around final in men's category.
(The Russian All-around Championships 2003 were held in March, already.)....
The 2003 Dutch Nationals took place this weekend in Nijmegen - without the title holder from 2002 Verona van de Leur.
In her hometown Nijmegen Suzanne Harmes advanced to the most successful gymnast:
She won not only the all-around title with a score of 36,888, but also the gold medals at three apparatusses.
Only the title on uneven bars was won by Laura van Leeuwen from Zoetemeer...
Last weekend the Romanian national team of women's artistic gymnastics won the triple meet in Madrid (Spain) with a clear difference of more than 4,5 points, but Brasilia on third place had only a backward to the Spanish host from 1,165 points...!
Best in individual all around was the Romanian Oana Ban (37,150), best Spanisch gymnast was the floor world champion Elena Gomez and best Brasilian Daniele Hypolito came on fifth place...
