The Italian Gymnastics Federation announced the retirement of Artistic gymnast Andrea COPPOLINO. The 30 year old specialist on still rings was a member of the Italian national team since 1996, boasting an exemplary sporting career. Coppolino competed in a total of eight Worlds and won the bronze on rings on two occasions: 2001 in Ghent (BEL) and 2003 in Anaheim (USA), where he tied with team-mate Matteo Morandi.

Kevin Mazeika is the new national team coordinator of U. S. men's gymnastics team. Mazeika led the U. S. men to back-to-back Olympic gymnastics medals for the first time.
