54th NHK-Trophy: Uchimura won his 7th time

Also the 54th NHK Trophy 205 was an event of great national importance in the year of World championships, because it was national trialsof qualifications for this highlight. Once again Kohei UCHIMURA dominated this competition at will; overall twice all-around had to be completed during the weekend. Lauren Mitchell's backflip for Rio Olympics

Australia's finest female gymnast, 2010 world floor champion Lauren MITCHELL, has shelved retirement plans to chase a third Olympic Games appearance next year in Rio. Mitchell (23) had planned to finish after 2014, only for her planned world championship finale to be scuttled by twin ankle injuries just two days before competition.

Johanna Quaas conquers Amerika ...

After nearly 20 hours of her journey yesterday from Halle, flying from the German capital Berlin with a stopover in Chicago, the world's oldest active artistic gymnast, Johanna QUAAS, now arrived in Oklahoma City safely and was warmly welcomed at the local airport by representatives of the "International Gymnastics Hall of Fame" (IGHOF).
