With great sadness the German and international gymnastics family has to bid farewell to one of its most dedicated personalities:

On Tuesday, November 20th 2007, Klaus MILBRADT died of heart failure at the age of 67 only.
He was threefold German gymnastics champion (GDR), longtime coach and first gymnastics national coach of the reunited Germany.

In the 1960ies he himself belonged to the leading top-gymnasts of the GDR...

At the first men's competion day of the 4th ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008, which take place in Doha, capital of Qatar, the national team of JAPAN won the gold medal with 365.200 points clearly in front of the team of the REPUBLIC of KOREA (348,800). Also in women's category Japan is the best nation of these 4th ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS of Artistic Gymnastics 2008 which were continue at the Sunday's team and all-around decision and all the finals:
Japan's women's team won gold with a score of 231,800 points clearly in front of the national team of the Republic of Korea (212,050), followed by Singapore (188,850). Only six complete teams - without China and North-Korea - participated at this event. The all-around decision was won...

The exhibition "Leon Stukelj 1898-1999-2008" in memory of Slovenia's most famous Olympic medalist was open this week on Leon Stukelj's 110th birthdate in his hometown Novo mesto this week.

The documentary exhibition and booklet outlines Stukelj's life and achievements in sports. 
Two times Slovenian Olympic pommel horse champian Miroslav Cerar officially opened the exhibition.

LEON STUKELJ - the first Slovenian Olympic champion and medal winner, died in 1999, November 8, some days before his 101st birthday...

The 4th Senior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships  of the AGU is going to be held at the "Aspire Dome" of Doha, Qatar,  from 15th to 18th November 2008.
To be organised by Qatar Gymnastics Federation (QGF) under the aegis of Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU), the four day championships will have participation of more than 260 delegates from 20 countries including hosts Qatar.
