Romania’s Adrian STOICA has been elected as president of the men’s artistic gymnastics technical committee of the FIG at the elections in Antalya (TUR). With Kazakhstan native Nelli KIM who ran for Belarus for the first time an Olympic Champion has been elected as president of the technical committee in women’s artistic gymnastics. The Italian national juniors team won its dual meet against the guests from Germany with 206,575 vs. 205,650 points.
In the Palazzetto delo Sport of Montevarchi near Florence the German team made a lot of mistakes and started without their stars Hambuechen, Eichorn and Boy...
Best gymnast in all-around was the Italian Paolo Oravi with 52,45, followed by his teammate Matteo Corona and the German Thomas Taranu (- both 51,90).

The fig pronounced, that the Court of Arbitration for Sport has rejected the appeal submitted by the Korean Gymnast Yang Tae Young, against the judges’ decision after the Men’s Olympic All Around competition in Athens.

According to the rules in effect, the ranking will not be modified and the gold medal will remain as presented to Paul Hamm (USA)....

At the 75th General Assembly (Congress) of FIG in Antalya, the Italian Bruno Grandi has been confirmed in office as President from 86 of the 96 nations.
