... Cottbus Tournament as dress rehearsal for ECh 2008
The 32nd International Tournament of Masters is to take place two weeks later than originally planned in the Olympic year 2008 at the Cottbus Lausitz-Arena. The new dates for the tournament are definitely now the 11th to 13th April 2008, confirmed by F.I.G. in October 2007.

At the beginning of October a ten day's course of studies for coaches of women's artistics gymnastics ended at the national training center of CUBA GYMNASTICS FEDERATION in Havana.

The course was part of the F.I.G. program "Olympic Solidarity" .

Best team of the 32nd anniversary of the traditional  LEVERKUSEN CUP 2007 and to the second time (after 2005) winner of this traditional trophy of European women's artistic gymnastics, the squad from Ginastica Artist. Lissonese, Italy, with a score of  108,650 points.

This week  ended the course of the FIG Coach Academy Level 3 which was held at the German Sports University in Cologne from 25th September to 2nd October. This is the highest level of coach education in the Academy Program of the International Federation: Only eight Academies were held worldwide at this level until now.
21 coaches took part at this course, representing from nine nations, from Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Great Britain, Germany, Iceland, Norway, Portugal and Sweden.
