Friendship Classic in Pottsville

Winners of the 'FRIENDSHIP CLASSIC 2004', held this weekend in Pottsville, PA./USA were Gymnasts from Russia and Ukraine in the the junior and senior all-around and event titles.
Ukraine's Olga Scherbatykh won the senior all-around over Russian Polina Miller, who fell off balance beam. Sherbatykh won beam and floor exercise, Miller the other two events. Third was American Grace Taylor of Aiken, South Carolina.

PRE OLYMPICS: Team competition women s artistic gymnastics

Russia wins the team event

Compared to their performance in the qualification Russia had improved today and this brought them the victory (111.970) in front of China (110.460) and Spain (109.322).

Results Team Final

The results in yesterday's qualification were different:
A strong Chinese team won this qualification (148.258) in front of Russia (145.058) and Spain (144.295).
