Balance of the 25th Euro Champs in Amsterdam
It was an unanimous opinion of all gymnasts, coaches, guests and journalists, that these 25th European Championships of women's artistic gymnastics were a nearly perfectly organized event!

'GYMfamily' established in Amsterdam
On the day of the accession of 10 new EC-members (1st of May) 'GYMfamily' ; a new virtual 'GYM COMMUNITY' has been set up in Amsterdam.
On the initiative of the European online-agency GYMmedia INTERNATIONAL and with the support from the Dutch gymnastic equipment producer Janssen - Fritsen a modern platform of more efficient communication has to be realised.

After winning the European title at balance beam and floor exercise the Romanian Catalina Ponor is the most successful gymnast of the 25th European Championship in Amsterdam and Romania also the top gym nation. Also Monica Rosu won a gold medal on vault today.
Svetlana Khorkina won the title on uneven bars again and is with all together 18 European titles from 1994 on the absolutly best gymnast in history of this event.
Romania started very successfully also...

'GYMfamily' will be established in Amsterdam'
On the same day when the All-Around Finals of the 25th European Championships Women take place in the Dutch capital Amsterdam (10.30h Juniors; 14.30h Elite), a new, worldwide 'GYM Community' will be established.
The European agency 'GYMmedia INTERNATIONAL' will found the virtual 'GYMfamily' in order to build up a modern communication system of the gymnastic disciplines. The first members will be the national gymnastic federations of the 10 new EC member countries...

First All-around decicion today

After winning silver with the team now Romania's junior Steliana Nistor won the first gold medal in the all-around decision of the European Junior Championships in Amsterdam, with a score of 37,587 points.
The silver medal wents to the Italian Vanessa Ferrari. She scored 36,525 points, and bronze was won by Yulia Lozechko from Russia for a score of 36,448.

From 2.30 p.m. local time on in Amsterdam starts the decision...
