Today at 1.00 pm local time starts the qualification of the 29th Tourmanent of Masters.

The Cuban Gymnast Abel DRIGG plans to present a sensation on vault - handspring - double layout fw.! He already mamaged to present it with a stuck landing during the training in Cottbus and now plans to show it also in today's world cup qualification...

The Canadian Olympic champion on floor, Kylie Shewfelt is training at the University of Calgary with a new coach, Tony Smith.
Kelly Manjak, his former long time coach at the Altadore Gym Club for 16 years, has moved to Ontario. The 2005 world championships and 2006 Commonwealth Games will be the next major events on Shewfelt's agenda. Both will take place in Melbourne, Australia.

The Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) has issued severe sanction to judges convicted of serious breaches in the execution of their responsibilities at the 2004 Olympic Games. The incidences originate on August 18, 2004, when the FIG suspended 3 judges on the spot for serious mistakes in judging at the Parallel Bars, Individual Competition....

About 13 years after the opening of a new hall in the sport centre Schauenburg in Liestal, where led by trainer Dieter Hofmann a new successful generation of Swiss male gymnasts was established, the new 'Sports and Health Centre Rosen' will be officially opened this weekend.

The new training hall, a former horse riding arena transformed into a hall with top equipment supplied by the Dutch company Janssen-Fritsen, complies with the standards for top-class gymnastics.....

On the edge of the Russian championships in Moscow, the new Russian gymnastics president Yuri Titov announced, that Andrei Rodionenko will be the new Russian head coach, successor of Leonid Arkaev after 22 years.
In the middle of January Rodionenko pronounced his retirement as Canadian head coach after eight years.....
