At the edge of a conference of the men's and women's Technical committees in the Belarusian capital Minsk, the FIG announced the results of the 2005 World Championships draw. This draw assigned the preliminary competition order for more than 420 gymnasts from 64 nations scheduled to compete at the 2005 World Championships, to be held in Melbourne (AUS) in November.

The most successful coach in the history of artistic gymnastics, world famous Leonid Arkajew is currently neither president of the Russian Gymnastics Federation nor coach of the Russian national team anymore, but is holding functionary appointments only.

Factually, at present, Arkajew is nothing more but a “coach legend”; however for retirement from gymnastics he considers himself a number of years under age.
Thus he is not only paying attention to Russian gymnastics talents, yet accepted...

At a session of the Romanian Gymnastics Federation Marian Dragulescu, who retired recently from competitive gymnastics, negotiated under which conditions he would come back and compete until 2008 and onwards (“As long as my bones will carry me”)
In detail he negotiated:
- To drop the all-around and compete on a maximum three apparatuses in the upcoming World Championships. Probably he is going to compete only floor and vault from now onwards.

In case of Raducan 2000...
After five years of silence, the Romanian doctor Ioachim Oana, who gave Andreea Raducan the Nurofen pill prior to the all-around competition after which she tested positive for a banned substance and lost her AA-title, accepted to give Romania’s second sports newspaper 'PROSPORT' an interview where he talks and answers questions about the “Nurofen-case” around Andreea Raducan adding together more details....

The Executive Committee of the Romanian Gymnastics Federation has decided to exclude Olympic vault and team champion Monica Rosu as well as Olympic team Champion Alexandra Eremia (who underwent surgery for appendix removal recently) from the Olympic Team and due to persisting weight problems and ongoing display of lack of motivation. Both gymnasts were sent home to continue their training at their home clubs in Bacau (Rosu) and Steaua (Eremia), separated from the Olympic team’s training center in Deva.
