Johanna Quaas: With 88 years as fit as ever 'and ever!

On Wednesday Johanna Quaas, the "world's oldest active gymnast" - evidenced by inclusion in the Guinness Book of World Records (2012) - celebrated her 88th birthday, in her hometown Halle / Saale, in the middle of Germany. A few weeks ago she had been announced, to start at her last official competition (Cottbus Memorial 2013).

Italy's Junior Team won Hamburg Gymnastics 2013

While at home in Camaiore Italy's male talents won their friendly meet aginst the boys from Germany and Austria, also the female Italian Junior Squad was the best at the 5th HAMBURG GYMNASTICS 2013. They won with a team score of 158,700 points and with a clearly difference of eight points in front of the German Master Team, MTV Stuttgart (150,700).
