On Monday, January the 31st, the former member of GDR national teamsBirgit RADOCHLA (married -Michailoff) celebrated her 60th birthday in the German capital Berlin.
She was the first German gymnast, who won an individual Olympic medal in Tokyo 1964, the silver medal on vault, together with Larissa Latynina (RUS) and behind the winning Vera Caslavska.
Birgit Radochla was a 7 times German champion and won also medals at the European Championships 1967 in Sofia (BUL)....

Russia will come with strong athletes to the 30th International Tournament of Masters', which will held March 24 - 26. März in Cottbus, Germany.
So the all-around world champion (Tianjin, 1999) Nikolai Krukov is a member of Russian delegation, who won the last pommel horse event in Stuttgart, but also the last winner of the world cup rings duel Alexander Safoshkin, against the Dutch van Gelder.... it will be a new revenge between theese two specialists again...

Australia's Chloe SIMS was the most successful gymnast of the Australian Youth Olympic Festival (AYOF), wich was held from January the 19th to 23rd.
SIMS and her teammate Holly DYKES placed first and second, followed by the tw Chinese girls HUANG, Lu and HANG, Bin In the team competition held Thursday already the Chinese won in front of the team 'A' of the host Australia.
In the men's all-around, GOU, Weiyang and WANG, Heng finished first and second....
